A Year Passes Since 155th Anniversary Extravaganza

"It is hard to believe that a year has passed since our 155th Anniversary Extravaganza last fall! Even though one year sounds minor compared to our 156th year history, we certainly have a lot to celebrate. We hope you remember our fabulous Hatch Show posters from our 155th last September and the piece we did on Hatch Show Prints on Broadway in our Levy's Magazine Fall 2010 issue. We have extra copies of the poster all around the store to remind us of our unique history as the oldest family business still owned by descendants of the founder in Tennessee and maybe even in the nation. Levy's Celebrates History With Social Media World

"It is true that we have not always kept the most professional archiving system - like archivist Annette Levy Ratkin insisted. Ratkin was married to the late Ralph Z. Levy, Sr., 4th generation owner of Levy's, and is an established professional archivist in the Nashville community. Currently serving on the Metro Nashville Historical Commission board, Ratkin has maintained impeccable archives, from which many of the Levy's items we now cherish originated. Thanks to Annette and the many other pieces of Levy's history we have, Levy's has started sharing these items with fans of their Facebook page. The Facebook album entitled "The Levy's Legacy," daily items from as far back as 1850 will be shared - one per day to keep fans coming back for more.
